Dr. Elsey’s Ultra litter: clumping clay and cleanup basics

The details that matter

Ultra is the unscented clumping-clay formula in this guide. Keep that name in view when ordering: Ultra+, Cat Attract and scented versions are different products. The 40-pound bag is a documented size, so think about carrying and pouring it as well as storing it.

The routine is simple but regular. Start with a clean, dry box and a three-to-four-inch layer. Scoop waste twice daily, top up as needed and replace the litter according to the household’s needs. A mat and nearby cleaning tools make everyday litter-box upkeep easier.

Used litter goes in the trash, never the toilet. If you have a self-cleaning box, check its specific litter requirements before switching. Choose by formula, handling and your cat’s acceptance rather than assuming a clumping litter will eliminate every cleanup task.

What stands out

• Unscented natural-clay formula
• Clumping format
• Clear daily cleanup instructions

Where to pause

• A 40-pound bag needs a workable lifting and storage plan
• Check the requirements of any automatic litter box

Make the decision

Choose around the formula, your cat's acceptance and the lifting routine. Match unscented Ultra, check any automatic box's requirements and decide where the bag and scoop will go. Clumping changes cleanup; it does not remove regular scooping and disposal.
